Terms & Conditions
Booking terms, payment, cancellation, and your rights as a course attendee.
These terms and conditions apply to all course bookings made with SIMFX® LTD (Company No. 12666655), referred to below as “SIMFX®”, “we”, “us”, or “our”. By submitting a booking request, you (“the Attendee”) agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Booking & Confirmation
1.1 Submitting a booking form constitutes a request to attend a SIMFX® course. Your place is not confirmed until we have accepted your booking and received the required deposit payment.
1.2 Following receipt of your booking request, we will confirm course availability and issue a deposit invoice within 1 working day.
1.3 Your place is reserved for 7 days from the date of the deposit invoice. If payment is not received within this period, the reservation may be released without further notice.
1.4 We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
2. Deposit & Payment
2.1 A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total course fee is required to confirm your booking.
2.2 The remaining balance of 75% is due no later than 14 days before the course start date.
2.3 If your booking is made fewer than 14 days before the course date, the full course fee is payable immediately upon confirmation.
2.4 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
2.5 Payment may be made by bank transfer or such other method as specified on the invoice. Payment details will be provided with your confirmation.
2.6 Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking, with the deposit retained by SIMFX®.
3. Course Fees

3.1 All courses include tuition, course materials, and CPD certification. Travel, accommodation, and subsistence are the responsibility of the Attendee.
3.2 SIMFX® reserves the right to adjust course fees. Any changes will not affect bookings already confirmed with a paid deposit.
4. Cancellation by the Attendee
4.1 All cancellations must be made in writing by email to mail@teamsimfx.com.
4.2 The following cancellation charges apply:

4.3 You may transfer your booking to another person at no charge, provided written notice is given at least 7 days before the course date and the substitute meets any prerequisite requirements.
4.4 You may request to transfer your booking to an alternative course date, subject to availability. One transfer is permitted free of charge with at least 14 days’ notice. Further transfers may incur an administration fee of £25.
5. Cancellation or Changes by SIMFX®
5.1 SIMFX® reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, adverse weather, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5.2 In the event of cancellation by SIMFX®, you will be offered the choice of a full refund (including the deposit) or a transfer to the next available date.
5.3 SIMFX® shall not be liable for any consequential costs incurred by the Attendee (including but not limited to travel or accommodation) as a result of cancellation or rescheduling.
6. Course Delivery
6.1 Courses are delivered as described on the SIMFX® website at the time of booking. SIMFX® reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to course content, structure, or instructors without prior notice.
6.2 All courses run for one full day unless otherwise stated. Start and finish times, venue details, and any preparation requirements will be communicated in advance.
6.3 Attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally. SIMFX® reserves the right to remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate, without refund.
7. CPD Certification
7.1 Each course is independently certified by The CPD Certification Service. Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the full course day.
7.2 Attendees who leave early, arrive significantly late, or do not complete required practical elements may not receive CPD certification at the discretion of the instructor.
8. Health & Safety
8.1 SIMFX® courses involve the use of simulation materials including silicone moulage materials, fake blood, adhesives, and cosmetic products. Attendees are responsible for disclosing any known allergies or skin sensitivities before the course date.
8.2 SIMFX® will take reasonable steps to accommodate access requirements and additional needs notified at the time of booking.
8.3 Attendees must follow all health and safety instructions given by SIMFX® staff during the course.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All course materials, content, and resources provided by SIMFX® are the intellectual property of SIMFX® LTD and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
9.2 Attendees may take photographs of their own practical work for personal and professional portfolio use. Photography or recording of SIMFX® instructors, proprietary techniques, or course materials is not permitted without prior consent.
9.3 SIMFX® is a registered trademark of SIMFX LTD. Unauthorised use of the SIMFX name, logo, or brand identity is prohibited.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 SIMFX®’s total liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the total course fee paid by the Attendee.
10.2 SIMFX® shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from attendance or non-attendance at a course.
10.3 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Data Protection
11.1 Personal data collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
11.2 We will use your information to administer your booking, communicate course details, and issue CPD certificates. We will not share your information with third parties except where necessary to deliver the course or as required by law.
12. Force Majeure
12.1 SIMFX® shall not be held liable for failure to deliver a course where this is caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government action, transport disruption, or utility failure.
13. Governing Law
13.1 These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
