Cookie Policy

How SIMFX® uses cookies and similar storage on this website.

This cookie policy explains how SIMFX® LTD (Company No. 12666655), referred to below as “SIMFX®”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on teamsimfx.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly under UK GDPR.

1. What Cookies and Browser Storage Are

1.1   Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners.

1.2   Modern browsers also offer similar storage mechanisms, including localStorage and sessionStorage , that allow a site to keep small amounts of information in your browser between visits or for the duration of a single visit. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), these mechanisms are treated similarly to cookies. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, it includes browser storage of this kind.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

2.1   We use as few cookies as possible. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website. The categories we use are:

Category Purpose Consent required
Strictly necessary Required for the site to function, for example, remembering your cookie consent decision so the banner does not reappear on every page load. No (allowed under PECR Regulation 6(4))
Functional / preference Remember your in-session choices so the site behaves as expected, for example, the contents of your Card Kit as you browse. No , set only when you actively use the relevant feature
Analytics Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Aggregated and anonymised; no individual profiling. Yes , only after you accept the cookie banner

2.2   Until you make a choice on the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set.

3. Specific Items We Set

3.1   The following items may be stored in your browser when you use this site:

Name Type Purpose Lifetime
simfx_cookie_consent localStorage Stores your accept / reject decision for analytics so the consent banner is not shown again. Until cleared by you or your browser
kitSelection localStorage Remembers the Support Cards you have added to your Card Kit so they persist between visits. Until cleared by you or your browser
Google Analytics (GA4) Cookies set by Google Aggregated visitor analytics. Set only after you accept the cookie banner. Up to 2 years

3.2   If we add or change cookies in future, we will update this table and the “Last updated” date above.

4. Third-Party Cookies

4.1   Some pages may load content or functionality from third parties. Where this happens, those third parties may set their own cookies governed by their own privacy and cookie policies:

  • Shopify , if you proceed from a Card or product page to the SIMFX® Shop, Shopify sets cookies necessary for shopping cart and checkout functionality. See Shopify’s cookie policy.
  • Cal.com , if you book a consultation through our scheduling page, Cal.com sets cookies for booking flow functionality. See Cal.com’s cookie policy.
  • Zoho Forms , if you submit a course booking or contact form, Zoho may set cookies for form submission. See Zoho’s privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics , only loaded after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. See Google’s cookie policy.

4.2   We do not control how these third parties use the data they collect. Please review their policies if you have concerns.

5. Managing Your Preferences

5.1   Change your consent on this site: to change your decision on analytics, clear the simfx_cookie_consent item from your browser’s site storage. The consent banner will then reappear on your next visit and you can choose again.

5.2   Browser controls: all major browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies and browser storage at any time. Disabling strictly necessary items may stop parts of the site from working as expected (for example, your Card Kit will reset on every visit).

5.3   You can also use private / incognito browsing if you prefer not to retain any browser storage from your visit.

6. Do Not Track

6.1   Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to this signal. Because we do not set analytics cookies until you actively accept, we treat the absence of consent as the equivalent of a Do Not Track preference for analytics on this site.

7. Changes to This Policy

7.1   We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we set, the third parties we work with, or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

7.2   Where changes materially affect how we collect data, we will re-prompt you for cookie consent on your next visit.

8. Contact
